Glorious Performance Team

GPT Hero

The Glorious Performance Team is a non-profit organization located in Charlotte, NC that is dedicated to mentoring youth in our community who have a desire to learn about drama from professional thespians and teachers. The participants improve their skills by rehearsing and performing on stage with their mentors. The organization also provides a venue to improve self-esteem, promote team building, and enhance character and public speaking skills, along with travel and educational opportunities.

Ronald Dolphus

Executive Director. Local stage/film writer director

Ronald Dolphus is the co founder and executive director of The Glorious Performance Team. His directed productions include the GPT stage productions of AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE (2018 premiere) and SCHOOL MAZE (2019). He was the executive producer, writer, and director of the historical short film YANKEE ESCAPEE (2019).

Regina Dolphus

Chairperson. Retiree from Mecklenburg County Social Services

Regina Dolphus is the President of the Board of Directors. She is an actress, youth drama coach, and songwriter.

Nicole Mealing

Vice Chairperson. Retired Master Sergeant, U.S. Army

Nicole Mealing is the Secretary and a veteran of the US Army. During her long career, Ms. Mealing served two tours of combat duty in Iraq, and two tours in Afghanistan. She has achieved the rank of master sergeant.

Albert Horne

Youth Outreach Coordinator. Head of Forever Learning After School

Albert Horne is the Committee Chairperson. Mr. Horne is an active leader serving youth in the Charlotte community. He is the head of Forever Learning Academy, a non profit after school and summer camp program in east Charlotte. He is also involved in the Read America’s Black Child Development Institute

Klarissa Byers

Fundraising Coordinator

Director of Renewed Inspiration Non Profit. Klarissa also works at Bank of America.
